Who Am I?
I'm a mom, a photographer, a member of my community, a best friend, a sister, and a girl in love.
I love my family, my cats, & boardgames.
I loooove sleeping in.
I'm a night owl...admittedly.
I can't BBQ, but LOVE to eat it!
I love movies, but can't sit still long enough to watch them.
I love to shop, but I DON'T need any more shoes!
I love fine ales, but couldn't brew my own to save my life!
My favorite toy is my Polaroid camera. :)
I'm inspired by my clients and how hard they work.
Who Am I Professionally?
I'm from Miami, Florida. I earned my degree from WIU (Macomb, Il) in 2008. I come from a family of professional photographers. My gear is full frame Nikon. I enjoy hosting workshops for beginner photographers & offer private tutoring sessions for people who want to get to know their camera better.
WHERE I SHOOT:
I shoot the majority of my weddings in Peoria, Burlington, Galesburg, Quincy, Ft. Madison, Macomb, Bloomington, & all over West Central Illinois. I am a destination photographer and as such my passport is up to date.
HOW I WORK:
As an on location lifestyle photographer, I do most of my work outside of the studio, even in the winter. My clients come to me for unique and authentic images that represent who they are. I work hard to create unique images for unique individuals and as you can see by my portfolio, those are the type of clients I attract:
Fun, fresh, different!

I am happy to shoot outside of McDonough County, Il. Shoot me an email and we can discuss fuel/mileage fees.
The kids….on the bed…equals PERFECTION! Of course we won’t have any of those, but I am so excited for our session in October!!!!
Great job! I really like your outline (especially the comment about the “proverbial 8×10″ – I’m sure it will help your clients know what to expect
Thanks for the article! That’s a great way to organize your session. Many times I do the creative shots first, but I like your suggestion to do the (less exciting) group/individual shots first. You are right…Those are the ones that clients end up ordering for their walls and/or grandparents. If you crank those out first thing then everyone can loosen up and get a little crazy with the fun shots!
Thank you so much for stopping by, Amanda!
Thank you so much, Jessica. It’s good to be open with clients as well as hear their thoughts and ideas.
I can’t wait either, Mandy!!
